first thing did called apple support , guy asked me perform different tests, including plugging imac out of socket and, after several minutes, plugging again. nothing worked , ended installing high sierra. this, however, did not work either. so, took machine , went certified technician launched imac and, 'dismay', fine! no artifacts, no lags, no black-and-white stripes on screen. told me perform tests took him 15 minutes. after took imac office, plugged in same socket - ok.... several minutes. then, thought - ok, maybe something's wrong socket , plugged machine different socket. in 'configuration' right several hours. device in use until 9 pm when put 'sleep' mode , went home. in morning, when came back, woke imac and, again, fine. so, left 2 hours because busy customer. when returned , woke machine up, artifacts , black-and-white stripes appeared again. time wasn't possible browse table in excel or google docs - inside document went white, including tables. tried plugging in totally different power supply system in other part of tenement house rent office (two different owners, 2 different systems) problem persisted. in despair, took imac different certified technician - time, trusted 1 had helped me several times few years ago. called him yesterday evening , said had been performing graphic card 'endurance' performance tests , no artifacts showed up... promised test imac further. called them today @ noon , technician said graphic card tests showed no negative results had performed different test in graphic lag appeared once - tabs in safari , chrome went 'plain' (meaning no x sign visible) , flickering - in video attached above (when logging in). happened once. asked him whether had unplugged machine night , technician confirmed. , wasn't modus operandi when graphics lags appeared. so, suggested him not unplug , keep testing device. we'll see tomorrow comes up. in meantime, grateful suggestions share technician solve problem...
