i've had imac 4 years or so, i've never used safari....i used using firefox , stuck it. it's become such resource hog becomes unusable several times day. i've messed extension , removed of them doesn't seem much. i'm willing give safari chance, appears doesn't have plug-in allows direct video downloads mp4 (or else matter) except third-party programs. correct observation, or missing something? video downloader ff adds little arrow toolbar; click , can download video file. nothing exist safari? or need try chrome?
yes correct, cannot download videos intended streaming using safari not have capability or plugin built-in. same thing chrome, type of extension have used. vlc has similar capture functions require second computer, or @ minimum download, website has allow video downloads in first place.
chrome choice performs on mac os, complained on memory hogger. use lots of resources, depends on number of tabs open. lighter resource usage on both cpu , ram, safari should come out on top.
