i edit on macbook pro (15-inch, mid 2009), 3.06 ghz intel core 2 duo, 8 gb 1067 mhz ddr3, nvidia geforce 9400m 256 mb. when adding effects , doing color correction play in fcpx isn't smooth, laptop struggles bit. need thats better have make work flow run smoothly when start adding effects , colors.

help??

adding effects , doing color correction play in fcpx isn't smooth

not sure if fcpx uses gpu or cpu these processes.

if assume cpu, it's better, yes. 2011, leave behind old core 2 duo, , go more modern i5 cpus.

if assume gpus, might better. 9400m mobile thingy. see also:

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
