Apple Upgrade Plan + ATT? And 8 vs X on AUP quesiton

hi,

2 questions can't seem find answer to.

on att mobile share 6gb 3 users. pay $60 plan , $40 each 'access' minus $20 having devices off contract.

if buy iphone 8 or x through apple upgrade plan, att consider me on contract , remove $20 credit? happen if make mistake of choosing att instead of unlocked through aup?

also, if decide go iphone 8 year, can move xs next year via aup? there limitation on moving or down in device through yearly upgrade program?

if enroll in apple's iup, separate bill cell phone carrier. have same plan , i'm enrolling in iup , it's 2 different bills. 1 doesn't effect other. thing at&t have whole process ask carrier info when log in enroll in program. after that, won't matter cell phone plan have. at&t, have off contract phone.

i saw other question, understand...the iup 24 month interest free loan. after make 12 payments, can trade current phone in phone. bill paid off , pay on new one. doesn't matter swap for. go x year 8s next year. doesn't matter. have make 12 payments.
