Using Mail with AOL Mail


i using verizon email when handed on aol mail. everything's been working fine received email aol saying "aol committed providing secure email experience. if use third party email client, microsoft outlook, mozilla thunderbird or apple mail, may using less secure sign in." refer web page:

if you're using pop (as am) don't change imap, give port settings, etc. go mail, click on accounts, select aol, sign in, , you're done. if click on "details," nothing happens. don't see way select or change pop/imap or port settings , when go mail preferences, showing aol mail account imap , allows changes outgoing mail server.

how choose pop, how change incoming mail server? thanks.
 

okay, think may have addressed issue. instead of adding aol account, edited current 1 uses old verizon.net email address aol mail. allowed me change incoming port number , outgoing server name match aol requiring. hope that's there it.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
