restore new (aka reinstall , start scratch), that's advice given when there problem. if data can corrupted easily, why should trust apple pay?
 

why trust computers @ anywhere given kind of thing has been reality long time (well beyond ios , apple in general).

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
