New iMac advice

strongly considering new imac 27 inch. have late 2012 model, 3.4ghz i7 24mb of ram , 1tb fusion drive.

needs simple. of 27inch models handle of needs, casual gamer , bootcamp windows 10.

question best imac option combination of uses. i'm leaning towards i7 future proofing radeon 580 , 2tb fusion drive.

question storage options. considered going 512gb ssd, instead of 2tb fusion , adding 2tb external drive, concerned whether able set bootcamp sort of setup.

secondary question thoughts on whether i7 worth on i5. heavy usage occasional gaming. won't doing hardcore video editing or that.

fwiw, considered option of getting mbp, building windows machine , purchasin monitor. don't want purchased ipad 12.9 try , replace laptop. plus, i'm not hardcore gamer, casual, seems bit of overkill , clutter not want.

input.

i not go route of purchasing external monitor , building computer. put money 27" imac can.

went $1999 version , able play wow , heroes of storm in medium settings without issues. did fusion drive recommend going ssd on fusion , getting basic ram , upgrading ram non-apple ram (less expensive). otherwise, i7 processor versus i5 think negligible casual environments. you'll see more value if using high processing intensive applications (photoshop or video editing).

games looking play on it? btw imac isn't built high end gaming. it's more of casual gaming machine anyway.
