google has launched new advertising campaign , teaser website upcoming "pixel 2" smartphone. site teases visitors october 4 event date, aimed @ might "thinking changing phones" (via techcrunch). page presents no other information, , asks user's email address stay up-to-date alerts regarding breaking news ahead of october 4 event.

since original pixel smartphone debuted in october of last year (it announced on exact same date in 2016), similar date expected new version of google's smartphone. rumors pixel 2 have been spreading on summer in lead-up launch, current predictions aimed @ smartphone snapdragon 835 or 836 chipset, 4gb of ram, "squeezable" sides perform different functions, , ip68 water , dust resistance.
