All 2017 iPhones to Come in Only Three Colors, Launch Simultaneously in September

apple's upcoming 2017 iphones, including "iphone 8," iphone 7s, , iphone 7s plus, available in 3 colors -- black, silver, , gold -- according new investor note shared today respectable kgi securities analyst ming-chi kuo.

kuo said iphone 8 available in limited number of colors, made no mention of 2 companion devices. 3 color list seemingly matches an iphone 8 dummy model leak saw earlier week, 1 of dummy model shades displayed more of copper gold, it's not clear if it's accurate depiction of colors can expect.

if apple plan on introducing iphone in 3 hues year, won't seeing rose gold or multiple shades of black available in iphone 7.

according kuo, 3 iphone models expected in 2017 support fast charging, warns consumers may need purchase type-c power adapter enable faster charging. current ipad pro has similar feature -- uses macbook's $49 29w usb-c power adapter fast charging.

kuo believes apple begin production verification tests on iphone 8 in late august, leading mass production in mid-september, earlier kuo's previous estimates suggested mass production might not begin until middle of october.

mass production starting earlier, kuo expects apple announce 3 iphone models simultaneously in september, plans launch them on same date. oled version in short supply, though, kuo forecasting shipments of 2-4 million units in third quarter.
though september launch expected, supplies of iphone 8 may constrained until first quarter of 2018 due expected high demand. still, kuo's latest prediction rosier outlook we've seen in past, former rumors suggested apple potentially announce iphone 8 , delay launch until october or november.

How much is my cMP worth?
