Looking to get my parents some new hardware, iMac vs. Mac Mini?

so parents' pc old (running windows 7) , time upgrade. i'd love move them onto mac, dunno if should go entry level imac or entry level mac mini. reason should pick 1 on other?

also, what's latest on remote desktop mac? i'd love able remotely tech support via remote desktop-style solution. used able with girlfriend via ichat's "share screen" feature way in '04 program has been dead time.

thanks.

+1 imac.

have couple of 27" 4k displays attached late-2013 rmbp via dp, , 1 of them shared 2012 mini server. i'm in mid-50s, , wear glasses. personally, i'm in on new imac updates issued today or imac pro when hit street - honestly, working on mini length of time wears on eyes though use solely file management/hosting.

regarding computer maintenance, work use not-cheap vnc app, personal use recommend screens ($30 on mas). use screens hdmi dongle access at-home mini ipad pro (https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/asin/b00flzxgj6). recent post sweet setup goes through bunch of screen sharing options - http://thesweetsetup.com/apps/the-best-remote-access-solution-for-mac-and-ios/ - keep in mind screens @ version 4; ios app $20 won't need (i do!). there free options, figured $50 2 screens vnc apps costs same 15 minutes of therapy…
