Ming-Chi Kuo Predicts iPhone 8 Will Omit Touch ID Entirely, Come in Limited Color Options

kgi securities analyst ming-chi kuo today made ten predictions related 2017 debut of "iphone 8," "iphone 7s," , "iphone 7s plus," expected announced in september , launch sometime afterwards (via streetinsider).

kuo's predictions today largely fall in line rumors we've been hearing 2017 iphones on past few months, few new tidbits suggest iphone 8 industry-leading in terms of edge-to-edge design, come in limited color options, , apple may removing touch id oled smartphone.

according kuo, iphone 8 have "the highest screen-to-body ratio of smartphone available worldwide," drastic reduction in bezels , edge-to-edge display we've been seeing in various renders. "notch" front-facing camera , sensors noticeable part of iphone 8's bezel design, kuo said.

kuo still believes iphones revealed in september, iphone 8 see wide availability well after lcd models later production ramp-up schedule. in may, kuo predicted "worst case scenario" possible, "severe supply shortages" persist throughout 2017 users looking hands on iphone 8, supply tightness not improving until first quarter of 2018.
