out of blue evening 10.5" ipad pro i've had since launch day has stopped consistently charging. i've tried apple charger, anker charger, , anker battery pack , 3 different cables including apple lightning cable. have hold lightning cable in ipad @ right angle charge. if leave in , it's not showing green doesn't charge. if hold in @ angle, either pushing up/down or left/right beep , start charging.
i've inspected port flashlight , looks fine, no debris. gently moved toothpick around in there see if came across , nothing dislodged. pins clean , clear , tight/not bent. did notice relative iphone 7, ipad pro 10.5" lightning port has pins on top , bottom—is usb 3? have tried rebooting ipad multiple times, including leaving off 5 minutes , plugging in charger. when plugged in, ipad recognized , started boot, thought strange. maybe split second, because when came wasn't charging? thing different today apple pencil dead , had charged 100% earlier in evening. have smart keyboard , seemed whether or not connected.
i'm wondering if it's hardware or software causing this? i'm developer on ios 11 beta, might cause issues? far i've never run issue before of betas, aside sd card adapter causing crashes while on vacation. had keep importing iphone , send them on airdrop store on ipad. got home other day , i'm frantically trying move hundreds of 42mp raw photos on mbp using airdrop before battery dies since connector has problems , idk if raw files stored in icloud photos.
me seems hardware issue. resetting settings have shot @ resolving issue? 99% of time rebooting problem on ios fixes it, i'm not sure if should go through headache. i'll traveling tomorrow i'll in city apple stores—is worth making appointment checked out or turned away having beta installed?
it’s beta issue. i’ve issue on 6s plus , ipad pro. easiest way plug in , power off. charges 100% every time. or put phone/ipad in airplane mode that’s hit , miss.
