iMac problem with LibreOffice


i have been using libreoffice ages, when open following message.

"either instance of libreoffice accessing personal settings or personal settings locked.
simultaneous access can lead inconsistencies in personal settings. before continuing, should make sure user 'myname' closes libreoffice on host 'myname-imac.local'."

user of imac , force quit app , when open again same message.
can't find in "system preferences" may not looking in correct area.

appreciated...
 

this may sound simplistic, have tried shutting computer down (all way off), , rebooting?
