Time Machine latest backup time incorrect


ever since updating 10.12.5 i've had strange issue time machine. "latest backup" shown not latest backup 1 before that. reboot fixes maybe couple of days, it's showing penultimate backup latest one.

if enter time machine, looks ok , can restore items latest backup, looks issue reporting latest backup time in time machine preferences , menu bar.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
