Spilled coffee on MBA, now keyboard and trackpad will only work sporadically

hi everyone,

first of sorry mistakes, english not native language.

accidentally spilled 4 or 5 drops of coffee on mba (2014) keyboard , instantly wiped up. macbook worked fine few hours. of sudden, both keyboard , trackpad became laggy, in there 5 second delay between input , cursor moving / characters showing on screen. after reboot, keyboard not found anymore , asked connect bluetooth keyboard. however, still able move cursor in boot camp screen. called apple care , rep instructed me perform smc reset , reboot mac in safe mode. worked again after few hours, until symptoms started showing again. they're again working charm right now, btw.

possible software issue or problem fixed cleaning keyboard thoroughly? ac guy told me since both keyboard , trackpad randomly stop working , then, after time, work again instead of being permanently damaged. told me try reinstalling macos. fwiw, cursor not work in macos install screen around 50% of time every single time in boot camp screen.

in advance!!

you need stop using macbook immediately, remove bottom panel, disconnect battery, disassemble unit as can, clean affected areas pure isopropyl alcohol, , place macbook in sealed bag desiccant.

hopefully, prevent further corrosion , hardware damage.

not believe software issue rather hardware issue progressively worse.
