5 Annoying Bugs a Serious DAW Never Should Allow


logic pro great app , that's why there bugs in every update release. nevertheless ones below seem have been there long.

bug 1:
quick punch in pre recorded audio , midi tracks @ same time (replace mode) :
.-in logic 9
previous midi notes keep sounding while recording new ones . result after overdubing new region overlapping previous passage. old notes sound new ones. . behaving in merge recording mode.
.-in logic x
previous midi notes keep sounding while recording new ones altough result correct when playing after overdubing.

bug 2 :
quick punch on pre recorder audio track. punch-out not smooth should. there gap, 2 sec of silence after punch out till previous recorded track begins sound.
doesn't happens in logic 9 .only in logic x seems broken.

bug 3 :
during pre roll using auto punch mode, there not sound coming out track want rec in.
happens both in logic 9 , x.

bug 4
pre roll time behaves inconsistent depends on playhead position when hitting record button. ignores pre roll number of bars, times starts playing far away punch-in locator ignoring pre roll preferences adjustmen.
happens in both logic 9 , ligic x.

bug 5
randomly, punch-in on prerecorded midi passage creates new region new notes recorded during punch-in doesn't sound, have glue "muted" region previos region in order make audible.
seems happens in logic x.

record preference settings:
*audio replace mode enabled (cycle/no cycle)
*midi replace mode enabled (cycle/no cycle)
*allow quick punch-in checked
*input monitoring checked
*record/toggle enabled
*replace button in transport bar active.
*audio track record enabled , highligted.
*midi track record enabled , highligted.

system:
mac pro mid 2010, 2 x 2.4 ghz quad-core intel xeon,16 gb ram.
mac pro bluilt in soundcard, no dedicate audio interface.
projects, exs sampler files , audio files reside in separate hd different os x.

in attempt rule out possible causes have removed third party plugins , reseted key commands unsuccesfully.
wonder if should trash logic preferences well?

apreciate if logic pro users duplicate behavior in systems , let me know if same result.
