hello, brand new iphone 8 64gb, pretty awesome. happy overall.
out of nowhere, entire home screen unresponsive touch.
what doesn't work:
home screen - swiping or interacting anything
all apps - opening, force touch, nothing. dead.
hard resetting - (i've tried 400 times) sleep button + volume down long 30sec...nothing.
control center - cannot open calc, timer, camera
what works:
siri - answer requests can't follow links/apps offers
home button - can take screenshots, can unlock phone..
touch id - (btw, holy **** fast a11)
camera - sliding right lock, can open photo , edit it...but if wants move out of (share, "all photos") denied...
notifications - can see , open them lock screen, can't them
control center - turn on/off settings; flashlight, wifi/bt/airplane, lock rot, sleep, brightness/volume...all fine.
can make phone calls lock screen, can't see call, control anything, or hang up; can listen
it's bizarre , driving me crazy. able remote erase find iphone online...then reset up...
then...it happened again few hours later when rearranging home screen.
seems simple replacement iphone...waiting appointment on monday night...
thought i'd share...i'm stumped!
