i have iphone se, , in last week, everytime plug in lightning cable, says "this accessory may not be supported device" lightning cable use apple certified amazonbasics, have 1 came iphone se , ipad mini 4, says same thing. charges ipad mini 4 without problems.
things i've tried
1) clean charging port rid of dust , lint might have accumulated inside. worked inititally not anymore. i'm 100% sure it's clean inside
2) tried official apple lightning cable, still says "this accessory may not be supported device"
3) checked inside of charging port eyes under bright sun using flashlight well, looks 8 pins there
4) notice when plug in lightning cable, seems positional. think charging port of iphone se needs replaced or (which going cost me $80 base on local repair prices)
5) tried hard starting iphone pressing home button , power button, switching airplane mode , back. turned off phone , let charge overnight (it went 72% 82% after 8 hours of sleep when checked next day)
it's annoying, coz 2nd time that's happened, owned iphone 5, , 3 years later had replace charging port since 1 of 8 pins missing causing not charge. , this, seems connection loose or something. i'm still able connect macbook air , connect itunes , see device indeed connected, charging lightning bolt sign doesnt show up. connected.
folks think wrong?
