What does an Airpods Serial Number tell you? Can it tell you if your product is legitimate?


an iphone's serial number tells lot...
  • aa = factory , machine id
  • b = year manufactured (this simplified final digit, means 0 = 2010; 1 = 2011; etc.)
  • cc = week of production
  • ddd = unique identifier (not same thing unique device identifier, or udid)
  • ee = model , color of device
  • f = storage capacity of device (s = 16gb; t = 32gb)
what airpods serial number tell you? there how genuine airpods are? i've been looking on ebay cheaper pairs of legitimate airpods, , cheapest see ships out of china/hong kong thoug item based in "serbia" $139.99 free shipping (https://www.ebay.com/itm/new-origin...ne-airpod-sealed-new-retail-box-/332417337920), have no idea why china/hong kong can possibly offer cheaper airpods other countries... there in airpods serial tell country manufactured or tell whether airpods legitimate or not?
 

i don't know serial number indicates. if wanted know if airpods legitimate, contact apple , provide them serial number. apple can verify legitimacy.

also, looked @ listing. seller has decent history , accepts returns.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
