Upgrade advice


i have 2010 mackbook pro, , have been planning upgrade while, in no hurry. mac mini died yesterday, maybe time replace laptop. looking @ 15.4 model. don't need latest , greatest, thinking maybe consolidate down single computer. i'm photographer , need large monitor editing might go laptop , connect monitor @ home. main programs use lightroom , photoshop.
reading reviews of newest macbook pros, there seem lots of people less impressed. off looking 2014 or 2015 model? advice.
 

you need make decision yourself. play new mbps, see if fit workflow.

disappointed in new, thinner mbps, broke down , got 1 - , overall happy. keyboard fantastic after used it, battery life great basic tasks suffers bit compared '15s, ports love/hate relationship until dongles need , adjust. else great.

1 thing enjoy how quiet cooling on new mbps is. noticeably improved on prior generation, both max noise how turns on.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
