New to Forum and imac with ?


i considering getting new 27" imac in near future. lot of photoshop , lightroom, no gaming @ all, , have never used apple computer, had used windows os systems.

question partitioning, why?
mean why partitioning, more gamers run windows games. given i'll using computer want partition hard drive , run windows reason.
have hated windows , don't understand why buy high end apple computer run windows software on it, not understanding...i there long list of but....

way budget $3800 door. think can middle 27" 500+ ram, 16 g , other techy stuff.

unless absolutely have boot from windows, mac has "virtual machine" options let run both mac os (as boot os) , windows side-by-side. no need partition in case. recommend try route first, before considering partitioning , boot camp. see posts lot of folks run problems it.

a word of advice:
imac ssd inside, not fusion drive (even if ssd smaller in capacity).
run "better, longer" , never slow down on you.
have buy these in "build-to-order" configurations, it's worth wait.
if need more storage space, plug in external usb3 hdd or ssd.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
