Dell 5k UP2715K & cMP & Flashed 680 = No Boot Screens


well i've spent few days setting new dell 5k up2715k. there couple documented issues , able working "fine" in sierra 10.12.6 , win 10 pro. beautiful 5k resolution @ 60 hz, rich colors, super sharp text. had working fine 1 last thing check. boot screens. have not been able display show boot screen no matter try.

have apple gt 120 in cmp use case. tried boot screen gt 120 , mdp dp (dell) cable , no joy. believe it's because gt 120 uses dp 1.1 (?) , display requires dp 1.2.

popped in flashed 680 (dp 1.2) , tried same thing. no joy, black screen. apparently issue on both macs , pcs there lame faq dell say's....

that's not of solution me. run 1 display , i'm not swap out displays anytime want see, or need boot screen. deal breaker me. if can't display show boot screen i'll returning , stick 27" cinema display now.

so..... question: has been able display show boot screen? if so, gpu, trick ?

i don't know display, know displays outright can't show boot screen irrelevant of os or gpu. displays appear dedicated secondary displays.

wrong have seen displays no boot screen mac os.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
