Stuck in MacOS upgrade pergatory

i'm having problems hope can with.

mac has been acting stupid lately, did poking around, , noticed still on first beta of sierra (12). figured i'd upgrade latest high sierra beta. followed instructions register mac , jazz, , said upgrades eligible show in mac app store. nothing did.

figured maybe need upgrade sierra release version first, let me upgrade high sierra. downloaded full version of sierra, , ran in installer. thinks while, , "we're around reboot, hold on!" thing. shuts down.

.... nothing. screen stays black hours. monkeying it, can see on, keyboard on, , funny enough, mouse floats around on black background. nothing happening. it's pretty bummer city, man.

hold down power button force shut down, , restart it. come up, still @ sierra beta 1.

tried again, , did same stupid thing. i'm not sure how proceed here. have ideas?

what i'd try:

1. download clean copy of sierra installer (not "high" sierra).

2. create bootable copy of installer on usb flash drive of 16gb capacity or greater.
can done "diskmaker x", "install disk creator", or via terminal.

3. boot flash drive installer.

4. go disk utility , re-initialize internal drive hfs+ journaling enabled.

5. try install sierra usb installer.
