t-mobile week quietly announced plans tweak way "mobile without borders" feature works, adding 5gb data cap.
introduced in 2015 un-carrier initiative, mobile without borders t-mobile feature that's designed extend lte coverage , calling mexico , canada @ no additional charge. designed use customer's normal voice, message, , lte data allotments while roaming in mexico or canada.

unlimited data plan, customers using mobile without borders had access "unlimited" 4g lte data standard cap of 50gb while in canada or mexico.
starting on november 12, t-mobile limiting lte data usage mobile without borders maximum of 5gb. after 5gb of data has been used in mexico or canada, or high-speed data allotment has been reached, data speeds downgraded simple global speeds (128kb/s t-mobile plans, or 256kb/s t-mobile 1 plus).
t-mobile says less 1 percent of people travel canada or mexico use on 5gb in month, , change being implemented "prevent usage beyond intent of product."
customers need more 5gb of lte data in mexico or canada can sign t-mobile 1 plus international plan, additional $25 per month on top of cost of t-mobile 1 plan.
