Please help! Can't delete Backup files from Trash


hi. stupidly moved whole bunch of old 2013 backup files trash, , cannot delete them. not on current time machine hd on internal drive within powermac. think may have been time machine initial backed to. use archiving (so can't delete current contents reformatting etc)

1. when try , delete/'empty trash' - starts preparing gives error message: 'the operation can't completed because unexpected error occurred (error code - 8003)

2. when try , 'secure empty' trash - starts preparing going few 1000s gives same error message above.

3. i've downloaded 'trashit' - nothing seems happen, not sure if worked or not...

4. tried using code in terminal - , entered said in thread:
cd backupdrive\hd
ls -a
sudo...
etc
asks me password? computer password set @ nothing when password window comes press enter. when press enter within terminal incorrect password.... i'm not sure else be...

5. downloaded yet version of trashit - , seems work, asks fro admin password - when push enter - says incorrect...

please may me...
 

hi,

nothing not valid admin password.

go system preferences, users , groups, create actual password.

then, download , install "maintenance" titanium software.
run it, use defaults settings, make sure check "trash" tick box, , execute.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
