i'm on mid-2012 macbook pro , looks it's time me replace it. on current machine, run 3 external monitors (two mini display port, 1 hdmi) , 2 usb hubs. hubs , hdmi easy enough find adapters for, mini display ports proving problematic except 1 dongle @ time.
both mini display ports using apple dvi adapters run 2 dell monitors, btw.
have suggestions of solution here? i'm googling mad man because i'd have adapters in place before order laptop.
a thunderbolt 3 hub supports dual displays , supplies power going easiest solution. caldigit ts3 1 possibility. iirc, belkin , kensington make dual display charging tb3 hubs appropriate 15-inch. way, 1 cable hub data, 2 displays (with usb-c or dp dvi adapters), , charging, , 1 usb-c-->hdmi cable mbp account third display. leave 2 free ports else might want connect. alternatively, purchase less expensive usb-c hub hdmi out, hub handle 1 display , data, 2 usb-c-->dvi cables other 2 displays, , charging cable handle power (occupying 4 ports, dependent on hub data - and, if hdmi display 4k + hdmi 2.0, while run 60hz right hub, need run 30 hz full usb 3.1 speeds on data transfers.)
