iPad Air 2 question

so owned air 2 traded in pro 9.7 inch capable of. anyway work in child protective services , work ipad broke down , due budgeting can't provide me new one. thinking of getting myself cheap refurbished air 2 replacement take field , hearing rumors ios11 beta working quite on air2's. wanted recommendations if it's idea , not , keep in mind budget limited. thank
