SSD manage read/write with bad blocks?


hi there,

how ssd(all ssd, not mac pro's) manage read/write bad blocks? automatically skip bad blocks , write blocks?

how ssd block/sector has been written already, already-written sector turns bad, not readable? or still readable, you're going incomplete info/ corrupted file?
 

ssd's moving data around between blocks. necessary level out wear on blocks. ssd's on provisioned, i.e. have blocks in case fail.

if block fails, data corrupted. note though blocks have space used store error correcting codes. allows drive correct small error. quite many ssd blocks have small defect covered on error correcting. if defect becomes bad, drive can stop using block, substituting on provisioned block instead.

How much is my cMP worth?
