recently found macbook running out of storage , old internal ssd going slower, decided buy samsung 960 pro 512gb along 12+16 adapter upgrade storage. reinstalled high sierra on old apple ssd update bootrom, , switched out old ssd brand new 960 pro. however, @ first, disk utility(gui) doesn't recognize disk, when open terminal, using diskutil list , can found disk mounted. use code: gpt create -f /dev/disk0 to initialize disk. can find disk in install. after installing, works great, sleep working fine. however, found problems: 0. kernel panics. (probably solved using tape shield adapter pins). 1. longer boot time , shutdown time. 2. fail sat reboot (black screen) , have force close , restart mac. 3. bootcamp control panel in windows not working (pop ups error when launching). ideas on reboot problem?   maybe answer here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/upgrading-2...

i looking @ replacing current 2014 macbook air overloading 1 of latest macbook pro 15s. however, looking on amazon, see 58% of reviews 5-star , full 12% 1-star. has apple slipped far or people having buyer's remorse because of price? since i'm not doing ton of heavy processing particularly needing quad core machine, alternative me might macbook air , split workflow between two. and, if require lot of processing, won't dead in water, can let 1 computer sit , process , continue working on else on other one. see lot fewer negative reviews of air, although there lot fewer reviews in general. how air these days? better in quality relative pro overall? thought of having 15.4" screen again appealing not if quality isn't price.   ehh new models cost more previous design did , not sold on eliminating ports usb-c yet. new macbooks forward thinking computers imo every time a...

hi, looking @ new phone last me next 4 years (yes - while - current 5s has been fine). have special offer iphone 8/8 plus 25% off (a deal within company), doesn't apply x. lowers price of 8 half of x. have thought it's straight forward, looking use next 4 years wonder if worthwhile buying x features such faceid become more useful in future ios updates. thanks!   face id not real feature. it's work around because touch id isn't practical x. wouldn't buy x because of face id. i'm buying in spite of face id. big feature me x's screen bigger 4.7" iphone same footprint. plus model wide comfort me x sweet spot between screen size , hold-ability. both x , 8 have same chip. x has better camera 8 plus's damn good. i'd if happy 8 plus's size save $. otherwise go x.   Forums ...

i feel these sneak under radar many figured i'd brief review. leviton makes toggle type dimmers , switches work in 3 way , 4 way configs compatible homekit. major benefit these can use them 3 way switches many homes have , not require hub. http://www.leviton.com/en/products/lighting-controls/decora-smart-with-homekit-technology first off bit confusing way work. keep simple buy homekit dimmer or switch come in 3 forms, 600 watt dimmer, 1000 watt dimmer , 15amp switch. work in single pole or 3/4 way configuration. if have 3/4 way switch buy 1 of above dimmers or switches , matching remote (ex. dd00r-dlz) other receptacles. things know before buying anything. 1. in 3 way configuration require remote, not work standard 3 way switches. 2. homekit dimmer/switch , remote require neutrals (they loads themselves). 3. homekit dimmer/switch goes on load side of circuit, remote goes on line side. installation instructions suck. being familiar electron...

before asking, phone new, iphone 6s, 64gb. box decrease volume button sunken wasn't annoyed this. noticed battery percentage off though. have tried calibrating , attempted charging advices, , still think battery isn't lasting long enough nor showing right percentage. have noticed phone has occasional issues waking up. doesn't wake bit, have wait several seconds before able click either wake/sleep button or home button. can battery issue? other 2 cool too. if need more information, inform me! thanks, viktor.   i don't mean offend basic question...but did buy "new" iphone 6s , when? apple stringent on qc , charges premium devices of highest quality. reason ask folks things think new refurbished devices. if bought @ apple store or other major retailer bring asap under warranty. if bought non-authorized reseller, suspect refurbished device. go website see if...
